Residents and staff celebrated Oktoberfest on Wednesday October 23. Barb Zook, newest cook at the United Presbyterian Home is showing off the appetizers and desserts prepared.
Residents enjoyed:
Bratwurst with Sauerkraut
Apple and Kraut Crullers,
Cheese and Bacon Puffs
Bavarian Cream in Chocolate and Strawberry
Black Forest Cake
The activity Department made Oktoberfest punch: 1gal apple cider, 24 oz (2bottles) shock top honey crisp apple wheat beer, one Granny Smith apple sliced, drizzled with caramel and frozen. Place frozen apples in punch to keep cold.
The band Keys & Squeeze-accordian and keyboard played and Department Heads got together with the residents to do the chicken dance-What Fun!
