The Culinary Team at CBV believes that at the core of everything we do is resident engagement. The scope of these relationships are about more than just food and the dining experience; it's about being a part of our residents daily lives and in many ways becoming part of their family.
Each week, members of our team participate in "Culinary Express" an activity centered around our residents with dementia. The activities have varied from games and puzzles to making small crafts. The most recent gathering had our Chef and our Culinary Supervisors working together with our residents to bring on Spring!
The main dining room table décor was completely remade for the warmer season to come. Incorporating bright flowers, spring colors and ribbon. Twenty-six table bouquets were created as we shared stories, jokes and Lemonade.
The centerpieces pictured have been very well received. Many of our residents, families and guests have commented on the new look, and have been thrilled to learn that were made by our residents.
Now, we wait for mother nature to follow.
