Difficult times at Maple Village lead to amazing new dining room

On January 10th, 2014 we had a water main break here at Maple Village in Bloomfield Michigan. I arrived at work at 3:30 am to help with the emergency. We had over 3 inches of water covering almost a 3rd of our building. The water main break was in our Maple Leaf Dining Room, where we feed about 80 of our 95 residents.

The past few months have been full of extra hours, extra work, Challenges, difficult situations as we had to turn our Cafe into our dining room. This meant that we had to set up buffet lines, and flip the "new" dining room at least twice an evening to accommodate all of our residents. On Tuesday May 6th the long awaited project is nearly complete and we moved back into the Maple Leaf Dining Room.

The new room is gorgeous and the residents love it. Charles Robinson (ADDS) and myself (DDS) and along with our corporate team and hourly crew all pulled together and got great help from out client and the other staff here at Maple Village to make the last 4 month a success. Below is a note from our administrator:

From January 10th until this past Monday you and your team have worked under some pretty extreme circumstances due to the devastating flood we had.  Providing a make shift buffet dinner to 74 residents in two shifts in very close quarters and with relative ease says a lot about you and your team.  Now, we are back in our beautiful and elegant main dining room.
Thanks again for everything you do.
