Sunday May 11th began another successful National Nursing Home Week here at Evangelical Home, Sterling Heights. This year’s theme was “Living the Aloha Spirit.” Every day during the week each department hosted a special event that featured the Aloha theme. The Dining and Environmental Services day to host was Wednesday, May 14th. We prepared tasty Pineapple Teriyaki Meatballs along with delicious Frozen Mock Cocktails. We also hosted a tropical themed game for our guests. The object was to “Put the Lime in the Coconut” (see picture above). Team members, residents, and patients were given the opportunity to win prizes by successfully getting the lime to land in one of the coconut halves.
