At IHM the dining services team offers staff, residents, and other customers an opportunity to show their appreciation by filling out a “Boasting Butterfly” or a “Kindness Katerpillar” as a way to create a positive work environment. Boasting butterflies display personal thank you messages while “Kindness Katerpillars” show witnessed random acts of kindness. “Thank you” and “that’s so kind of you” messages go a long way. Keep the positivity spreading!

The “Thank You” board at Immaculate Heart of Mary has been a
huge hit with staff, sisters and the other departments. This board was started as a way to encourage
our staff to work together as a team and to appreciate what each person brings
to that team. Our staff, at first were
apprehensive but have embraced it with open arms and hearts. The staff at IHM continue to say “thank you”
or take a moment to recognize someone for a job well done. This has increased that staff morale and
camaraderie as they go up to the board each day to see who has a butterfly or a
caterpillar. The continuous smiles and
laughter are an endless reminder of the teamwork and love at IHM.
