On the weekend of October 3rd, the Retreat House hosted a group of 35 from St. Paul Korean Church. We saw it as an opportunity to embrace a few things that we know are important to our client and therefore to us: making all ethnic groups feel welcome, supporting local businesses whenever possible, and incorporating healthy options into our buffet offerings.
Our staff came up with the idea for a Kimchee/Quinoa salad. We sourced the kimchee from a local Asian market and served it as a side with a Beef Stir-Fry that also included Gai Lan from the market.
The group was pleasantly surprised to see a nod to their culture and not a spoonful was left at the end of service!
