With booths filling the Windridge dining room; the Friends of the Western Home Communities had their annual craft sale in late October. The dining services team offered a panini station with savory sandwiches for craft goers before they went into look at all the displays of craftsmanship that residents displayed. About 225 individuals were served and kept the chefs very busy. It was a great opportunity to serve individuals with something maybe they have not tried in a while. Paninis have recently been a hit amongst individuals in the community with restaurants around the area offering these types of sandwiches, and what better way to display this liking then for the dining services team to show off their skills with the panini press. General Manager of Dining Services Randy Husted commented how it was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces as well as new faces coming to purchase a quick bite before shopping. Husted was able to engage in many great conversations over craft goers quick bites to eat. He along with the team look forward to the coming events to serve residents, and the public alike with delicious food.
