Mardi Gras Celebrations from around the Regions

Villa St. Benedict celebrated Mardi Gras with an all resident and staff Happy Hour in the Lounge Tuesday night from 4-7pm. We featured Hurricanes and "Bourbon Street" Cocktails as well as a special New Orleans Lounge menu which offered Shrimp & Grits, Chicken Gumbo, Fried Catfish Po-Boy, Grilled Andouille Sausage Po-Boy, and Warm Doughnuts. We had a great turnout at the event from both residents and staff and significantly increased our sales in the Lounge by an additional $400.00 compared to an average evening in the lounge.

The Mardi Gras celebration at our facility was filled with food, drinks, color and music, as every Mardi Gras celebration should be! Colorful jello was offered as a side dish at lunch for the residents- They loved it! In the afternoon, residents were invited to attend a Mardi Gras party. At the party, residents had the choice of purple or green punch and homemade King Cake was available to enjoy! A live entertainer was singing and playing guitar while residents sang along and were visiting with one another.
