Caribbean Night at the Weils

Winter has been long and cold up in the northeast, residents are getting restless and so is staff. In an attempt to break up the monotony of winter we threw a Caribbean night on Monday February 16th. We took some time to decorate the dining room with warm colored flowers, mini palm trees and even got a the servers in on wearing flower necklaces.

For dinner, residents enjoyed Cuban Black Bean Soup, Jerk Chicken with sauteed plantains and rainbow Dominican rice followed with grilled pineapple for desert. We even played some tropical music to bring that warm Caribbean feeling into the building. For an evening the residents could forget the frigid temps outside and think warm happy thoughts.
