Warm and friendly Clowning around highlighted the special Birthday Surprise was planned and coordinated by one of our Masonic Pathways associates for Duane Todd, a Resident of the Masonic Residential Community. Laura Dickerson, who works in the Wright Place Café and finds great joy in doing for others. While working in the café, Laura has the opportunity to see Duane often as he volunteers giving tours for new residents, or making the weekly Thursday Popcorn in the Coffee Shop. Duane also is a Shriner clown who participates in many community events and parades. Laura learned that Duane was having a Birthday in May. She took it upon herself to plan, purchase and coordinate a birthday party for Dune with a Clown theme to celebrate not only his special day but his special gift of laughter that he brings to all around him. One special feature of the birthday party décor were the red foam clown noses that Laura bought for everyone attending to wear during the party. The Wright Place Café was filled with customers and party guests all wearing a red clown nose in honor of Duane. This was such a great example of an engaged associate enriching the lives of our seniors here at Masonic Pathways. A Very special and memorable time!
