This week’s Snack and Study Session was an exciting one – a patient returned for rehab and mentioned looking forward to the nutrition sessions during her stay! She was able to recall several of the topics and information from the previous sessions, engaged other attendees in conversation regarding what she has learned, and communicated how she applies the information into her home setting, demonstrating practicality of the content!
Another patient has had difficulty tasting foods since her recent incident. We had fresh squeezed blueberry lemonade as the beverage today and she was shocked to be able to identify the lemon flavor in the lemonade! Team members sampled the lemonade also and enjoyed the “refreshing” hydration!
