On Thursday, July 23rd, Anna Mooi, our Dietetic Foodservice Intern from Central Michigan University, prepared and planned along with Chef Eric Schiellerd a Garden Fresh Summer-Themed Meal! Nearly all of the dishes featured summer vegetables or had a fun summer twist such as Dirt Pudding complete with gummy worms for dessert. Some of the Garden Fresh dishes included Eggplant Parmesan, Sausage and Spinach Stromboli, BBQ Chicken Salad, and Bacon and Corn Chowder. Anna did a wonderful job decorating the Breakaway Café and giving it a summer feel and the customers enjoyed all the wonderful summer-fresh foods she provided!
