On 7/22/15 at Lake Forest Place we had our Carolina Low Country themed Chef’s Table. We did 8 courses for 17 residents outside on the patio. The weather cooperated and it was a huge success!
On the menu we had:
· Fried Green Tomatoes - breaded in corn meal and pan fried, corn aioli, smoked corn relish
· She-Crab Soup- Atlantic blue crab, crab roe, cream
· Oyster Roast- Oysters roasted on the grill served over rock salt
· Old Charleston Style Shrimp & Grits- Tender shrimp served over cheesy grits
· Frogmore Stew- shrimp, corn, smoked sausage, new potatoes, in a savory broth
· Peach Sorbet with Balsamic reduction
· Low country surf and turf- Pan seared scallops, South Carolina pulled pork, hoppin john, collard greens, low country barbecue sauce, corn bread dust
· Pecan Trio- mini pecan pie, pecan spice cake, pecan ice cream
