Villa St. Benedict's
executive chef, Jeremy DeRango, hosted a Taste event for the residents.
The topic was tools and techniques used in the kitchen. All different
types of knives were discussed as well as a truffle slicer, smoking gun,
blow torch, and many more. The residents loved seeing and learning
about the tools that are not used in an everyday kitchen. The event was
followed up with a taste of chef's Caprese Salad topped with fried bread
and for dessert, bruleed bananas with caramel.
