Wellness in Action: Seasonal Menu Planning Meeting

Twice a year, the corporate Chefs and Dietitians get together to create and build a seasonal, flavorful and nutritionally balanced menu using the latest evidence based research.  This year we are focusing on cognitive and brain health by incorporating more whole grains, berries, and anti-oxidant rich foods into our menus. 

We use Webtrition which is our web-based proprietary ingredient, recipe and menu management system.  It is a powerful and complete tool that provides quality recipes, production sheets, inventory control, and cost and nutritional analysis.  This guides our directors and dietitians to be effective and efficient in running the Food and Nutrition department at our communities across the country, while making sure our residents receive well-balanced and flavorful meals for their overall wellbeing.
