Communication Station at Western Home

And welcome our new Communication Station.

Communication Station really rolls off the tongue and today became the focus in each dining room.  Often residents feel we "aren't listening", "we do nothing" when they complain, "there is no point in voicing our opinion".  At Western Home Communities we are changing that perception.

This started a couple months ago when Trisha Ohlsen lent her talent to us for a couple of days and was able to get some great feedback with the On Site Insight feedback focus groups.  What is On Site Insight, In simple terms a Morrison employee came as a third party and held a food committee.  Awesome to have Trisha as a support person.  She held a focus group in each of our 5 IL locations and put together the top ten items we needed to focus on.

We often get lost and overwhelmed with all that we need to do that we tend to lose the focus, Trisha helped us to regain the focus.  And now we have it all together in a Communication Station!  Thank you Trisha.

The Communication Station has the OSI poster board, the monthly food committee notes along with our action plan, and a suggestion box.  We are putting it in plain sight, in our Communication Station, that WE ARE LISTENING!  And not only are we listening, we are reacting.
