Exciting News!!!
One of our major goals in 2013 is to
transition as many items to scratch cooking as possible. This is important for
a number of reasons including:
· Lower Food Cost
· Better ingredients
· Less impact to the environment by
less packaging being purchased and ending up in landfills
Our first target is our salad
dressings.
When we consider that our driving 2013
philosophy is all natural, seasonal ingredients and less processed items;
looking at our store bought dressings, we realized that the two are
diametrically opposed!!
Polysorbate 80, Propylene glycol, Disodium
guanylate and various food colorings are just a few of the chemicals in our
store bought dressings!! Huh!?!?! Not good, we are paying a high price both
monetarily and physically for a small convenience.
Our homemade dressings are now the
standard. Each of our dressings take less than 5 minutes to make each, and have
6 or fewer ingredients per recipe.
