Our team passed out flyers with ideas on how to add vegetables and fruits into daily meals as well as recipes to make a few meals out of 4 common ingredients. Our display cooking taught the students and families:
  • To make a stiry fry without fats or oils
  • To incorporate three or more vegetables into a meal
  • To utilize the stir fry meal as a left over, cold on a salad
  • About meatless options: we used edamame in the stir fry that would be the protein option on day two on the salad
  • How ecomonical a stir fry can be when you use pre cut vegetables on sale, in season vegetables and make your own sauce
