A taste of Broadway came to The Moorings at a Chef’s Reserve dinner held on Thursday, May 30th.
Chef Brian Kozlow executed a five-course dinner featuring his
interpretations of classic dishes from the menu of Sardi’s restaurant
on Broadway in New York City.
Residents were delighted to find place cards with
their names and a photo of a famous celebrity known for their work on
both the stage and screen. A mix of showtunes were the featured as
background music.
Wines were paired with the first through fourth
courses. Residents enjoyed experiencing the contrast of pairing an
unoaked chardonnay with the salad course and an oaked California
chardonnay with the seafood course.
Coffee spiked with Baileys served with the chocolate lava cake dessert course was a fitting ending to a decadent meal.
The intimate nature of these dinners (twelve person
capacity,) allows for lively conversation and a sharing of memories and
experiences amongst the group. This month, the Marketing department
reserved two seats for residents who have committed
to The Moorings but have not yet moved in. These future residents had a
wonderful introduction to what makes both the community and dining
services special at The Moorings.
