On Friday, Dining Services at Breton Ridge partnered with The Holland Home Activities Department to bring a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Event presented by the Grand Rapids Master Art Theater, A Cat Screamed at Midnight. With resident participation, Theater Tickets were created by a resident from true ticket print, and sold by the Resident Services office. Residents embraced the event, creating the center pieces and placemats. The menu featured garden green salad with balsamic vinaigrette, House Stuffed Chicken with ricotta cheese, spinach, sun dried tomatoes with white wine sauce served with roasted red skin potatoes, fresh green beans, and triple layer pumpkin cheesecake.
The sold out event, started with a description of the evening in question, followed by each suspect "telling their side" of the evening. Through out the meal service the guests are given supporting documents to read and review to solve the mystery. All of the actors strolled the dining room to answer questions of each table to assist in piecing the puzzle of "who did it". At the conclusion of the evening the story is revealed to all of the guests. Residents and family members enjoyed a wonderful night of good food and fun!
