Team Member Wellness


We have great opportunities at Evangelical Homes of Sterling Heights with wellness.  Team members never shy away from trying something new and are always first in line to try the “wacky” recipe the dietitian put together – especially the kale smoothie!   Today I had a great conversation with a team member about the recipes we provide each week. She communicated looking forward to the superfood snacks, hearing about the benefits of the superfoods, and started a healthy recipe binder to collect our recipes at home!  I have included the berry berry kale smoothie recipe team members loved!

Berry Berry Kale Smoothie
Refreshing Berry and Kale Smoothie

Ingredients:

4 ounce
Strawberries, fresh, capped, halved
4 ounce
Banana, medium, fresh, diced
2 ounce
Kale, fresh
1 cup
Juice, orange, 100%
1 cup
Ice, cubed
5 ounce
Blueberry


Directions:

Combined all ingredients in a blender.  Blend until smooth.  Serve immediately.
