Staff and residents at Evangelical Homes Sterling Heights enjoyed a session led by dietitian, Dana Lutz on Building A Better Plate featuring Leafy Greens. Nutritional benefits of fresh salads and incorporating new items into their salad was discussed. The group shared their favorite salad ingredients and tips. Everyone sampled the featured salad of green and red leaf lettuce, cucumbers, red pepper, and hard boiled eggs with Dana's homemade lemon Dijon dressing. A salad dressing DIY chart from Earthbound Farm Organic was provided to attendees to start making their own dressing at home. Many were surprised to see that they have many of the ingredients in their own home and were excited to try at home!
